Our Story
At Flareguard, our journey began with a passion for engineering and a commitment to the community. Starting during our capstone project at the University of British Columbia Okanagan, we aimed to revolutionize wildfire detection and response through our proof of concept project. Amid devastating wildfires both locally and abroad, our team decided to further dedicate countless volunteer hours after completion of the project to refine the design and process into a sustainable package. Our goal is simple, to protect people and property while preserving precious the ecosystem. Through innovation and perseverance, our efforts have now evolved into a marketable robust technology, enhancing wildfire management and supporting wildfire coexistence.
